It’s our 10th birthday!

Did you know it all started with 2 women, 2 cellphones and 2 vans?
Their shared passion for saving homeless companion animals has resulted in:

- 3,822 puppies, kittens, dogs & cats in loving homes

- 240 litters of puppies

- 3,249 pets spayed & neutered

- 200 volunteers

- 9,864 vaccinations

- 25 active fosters

- 650 dogs trained through Paws Behind Bars

 About Us

Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue is dedicated to homeless companion animals of Oldham and surrounding counties.  ​We feel it is important to integrate education and community involvement as part of the solution to decreasing the number of homeless pets.

Our Board Members, Officers Roberta Kirk (President), Stephanie Barter (Vice President), Jim Graybeal (Treasurer), Diane Ernst (Secretary), Members-at-Large, Alicia Sarantis (Community Outreach), Jamie Carter (Fundraising), Sean McNichols (Internal Operations Support), Lisanne Mikan (Adult Dog Team), Megan Mickus (Puppy Team), Jessica Springer (External Operations Support), Jamie Wissinger (Cat/Kitten Team), and Advisory Board Member, Amanda Fowler Brown, DVM (Hopewell Animal Hospital), along with our many volunteers, work tirelessly to rescue dogs and cats from kill shelters, and, using our "Fit Focus" philosophy, find them the best possible "furever" home.  It's our mission.  It's our passion.

 Adopt Me!1424855 Bluegrass Pet Rescue is an Oldham County-based incorporated 501(c)3 organization guided by the principals of compassion, integrity, and dedication. We seek to work with and educate the community in order to make a positive impact on pet overpopulation. Through our work, we Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome (through adoption, using our “Fit Focus” philosophy) homeless companion animals with loving, committed families.

Adopt Me! Bluegrass Pet Rescue was co-founded by dedicated, passionate individuals and relies solely on fundraising, estate gifting, individual donations, and grants for its funding.
